The story truly begins with my grandparents. They grew up on farms. A Grandma who continued her garden in her own yard and a PawPaw who joined the Navy to get away from the harsh realities of the family farm. Which led to me growing up in suburbia with parents who grew some herbs, a few sunflowers, and love to plant flowers. There has always been a curiosity and romanticism of gardening for me, but I never thought much about it.

My second child was born with some food intolerances. When you have a sick child, you research everything around that illness. All that research kept coming back to the fact that our food system is broken. We eat weird things that we can’t pronounce in processed foods, nor do people seem to care. That’s terrifying! My solution was to clean up our eating to more whole foods and start a garden. I can control some of what we eat if I grow it! I never knew that garden would bring me SO much joy. The next year, I expanded the garden and started taking classes at the local community collage, CCCC, for Sustainable Agriculture. That really turned my world upside down! All of a sudden, farming was the clear calling. Our family moved out in Silk Hope, NC to a 13 acre farm that had housed horses, cows, Sorghum, and brick making.

My goal has shifted from just caring for my family to wanting to care for my community. I want to nourish my friends with the best of the best and the flavor to knock their socks off! I want to bring excitement about eating through beautiful colors, textures, and shapes. Our flowers bring joy and floral wellness to all! The tea roses will delight you with their dreamy scent and old time beauty, the hydrangeas will fill vases with gorgeous colors, and the wide variety of daffodils will have you sighing with Spring happiness. The ever rotating varieties of annual flowers will keep you on your toes because the bouquets are always shifting.

Please hop in my heart pocket for this wonderful ride. I hope to bless you with love, encouragement, and tasty produce!
